It's May! How fast did April go?
We've several new things at The Black Bull Hotel, including:
- Our New Restaurant, Kids & Breakfast Menu are now out and are
better than ever!
- New Tables & Chairs for the Front Seating Area
- New Decorative Hanging Baskets & Planters
- Final Phase of Re-Decoration of the Main Bar & Eating Area
- New Heater for the Beer Garden & some TLC to the Beer Garden
It's clear to see, the only place to be this Summer is The Black Bull Hotel, and we continue to see new faces each and every day.

It's true! Believe it or not, but Spring is here!
With Spring we bring new things...

- Re-Opened Beer Garden
- New Events like Curry Night & Steak Night
- New Traditional Ale, along side Tetley's
There's only one place to be this year and that is The Black Bull!
- We've had a Mini Face-Lift!!
We're proud to announce that our beer garden has had a mini face-lift, and is now as good as new! The smokers hut has been moved to rear right corner of the beer garden, with the help of a good few locals moving it! All the patio area has been pressured washed, and all our fences are having a lick of paint! Not to mention some new additions, like Outdoor Patio Heaters, which will be making an appearance in the near future. Come and see us, and enjoy the view!
- Evening Meals, Welcome Back! (8th September)
We are proud to announce that Evening Meals are officially back, and so are the special nights that go along with them. Steak Night is on Tuesdays, and Gammon Night is on Thursdays!
- Welcome, New Management! (31st August - 1st
September)
Join us in welcoming the new management at The Black Bull. Chris Davies replaces Kathryn Hepworth at the helm of The Black Bull. Chris has been managing the public house as Pub Manager for the last six months, and now he's running the pub at full pelt, with all the support of all his friends and family. Introducing new menus, revised prices, and new offers, Chris is re-inventing The Black Bull!
- Welcome, Strongbow! (31st July)
We'd like to welcome Strongbow onto our pumps, replacing Thatcher's Gold Cider. In late July 2008 we bidded farewell to Thatcher's from our three pumps, two in the main bar, and one in the back bar. Strongbow is available now, and priced at £2-40 per pint, and £1-20 per half pint. It has been greatly received by customers old and new, and is flying out. So catch it while you can!

In late July 2008 we bid farewell to our Thatcher's Gold Cider pump, which will be replaced by another well known, and highly advertised cider, Strongbow.
